Iftar Package 1442

Imagine…

It’s the month of Ramadan. And It’s almost Iftar time.

There are four persons sitting around an old aluminum plate with a few dates on it.

In a bowl, there is some flattened rice soaked in milk. The still glass contains sugar sherbet.

Among the four, the grandpa and grandma are fasting but the children are not. However, they join their grandparents for iftar. The month of Ramadan is a month of happiness for this family because they know they have something to eat at iftar for the whole month of Ramadan.

The food on the floor is the iftar that was purchased by you.

Why?

It was reported by Zaid Bin Khalid Juhani (May Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) said,

“Whoever feeds iftar to a fasting person, will get the same reward as the fasting person, without losing the fasting person losing any of its rewards.” [Tirmidhi 807, Ibnu Majah 1446, Ahmed 21168, Daremi 1702]

What?

Each Iftar package consists of the following:

  1. Medium quality dates (1 kg)
  2. Cane Sugar, Deshi Chini (1 kg)
  3. Flattened Rice, Chira (1.5 kg)
  4. Vitalac – Full cream Milk powder (0.5 kg)

This package would give the fasting person each day the following:

  • 3 dates (95 Cal)
  • 33.2 gm sugar (125 Cal)
  • 16.6 gm milk powder (85 Cal)
  • 50 gm flattened rice (170 Cal)

Dates consist of calcium, phosphorus, iron, potassium, magnesium, and zinc. Other than these, dates also consist of needed vitamins like Thiamine, Riboflavin, Niacin, Folate, vitamin A and Vitamin K.

The full cream milk powder consists of protein and butterfat which fulfills the body’s protein and fat needs. All these elements have benefits for the human body.

Every day’s Iftar will provide one-third of the basic calorie needs for an adult and balanced nutrition for a fasting person in the entire month of Ramadan.

When?

We will keep selling until Shaban 30. We will start distribution from Shaban 28 and will finish distribution by Ramadan 1 so that every fasting family has got their Iftar package with them on the first day of breaking their fasts.

Who?

We focused on two criteria while making the list:

  • The receiver prays five times a day
  • The receiver will fast the month of Ramadan

It is true that often the beneficiaries share the food with their families, especially children who are not fasting. But that too encourages the children to fast.

How?

  • To order our iftar package go to our website at https://www.shorobor.biz, if you want to distribute by yourself then select “desired location”. If not, then select “by Shorobor”
